Job Description
Apollo is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Technical Project Manager
to oversee and manage our software projects. The ideal candidate will have a
solid background in software development and hands-on experience in managing
technical vendors. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for
leading and coordinating a team of professionals while also managing external
tech vendors.
Your Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Lead and coordinate the execution of software
projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality
objectives.
Team Coordination: Coordinate and collaborate with a team of developers,
engineers, and technical professionals, ensuring effective communication,
task delegation, and progress tracking.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external tech vendors, assessing their
capabilities, coordinating contract negotiations, and monitoring vendor
performance.
Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to the project
team, addressing technical challenges and ensuring the successful
implementation of software solutions.
Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks, develop risk
mitigation strategies, and proactively address potential obstacles to
project success.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project updates, progress, and key
milestones to stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment
throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance project management
processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize project efficiency and
deliver high-quality outcomes.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) are
advantageous.
Proven experience as a Technical Project Lead or Coordinator, successfully
delivering software projects within defined parameters.
Hands-on experience in software development, with a solid technical
background and proficiency in areas such as coding, testing, system
design, and related technologies.
Strong coordination and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate
and motivate cross-functional teams.
Experience in managing technical vendors, including vendor evaluation,
contract coordination, and performance monitoring.
Proficient understanding of databases, servers, and web applications, with
the ability to effectively collaborate with technical teams.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and
results-driven mindset.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability
to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to
prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines in a dynamic environment.
