108-story financial tower affects flight operations at Hanoi airport: aviation authority

A 108-story financial skyscraper, part of a US$4.2-billion smart city project in Dong Anh District, Hanoi, may impact civil flight operations at Noi Bai International Airport, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV). The smart city project was approved with an aim to develop a new smart urban area with a modern financial, banking, trade and service center. The 108-story financial tower was planned to be developed on a 133,279-square-meter land lot and have a height of 639 meters. The authority asked the Hanoi administration to consider the importance of the financial tower project. According to the Hanoi People’s Committee, the 108-story financial tower is in line with the city's approved urban planning.
