February 22, 2024

Police of Thua Thien Hue Province in central Vietnam on Thursday arrested five people and banned a sixth from leaving her residence for allegedly making over 500 counterfeit windshields. Findings from the police showed that these suspects purchased a large amount of XYG-branded car windshields from Shenzhen Company and a laser engraver from China. They sold each fake car windshield at inflated prices that were 300-500 percent higher than the item's imported price. Between April and November last year, they imported close to 5,000 car windshields from China to Vietnam. The police officers seized all the items that these suspects had used to make the counterfeit windshields, including one laser engraver, two computer sets, more than 500 fake car windshields, and equipment used to erase logos and polish glasses.
