Da Nang sees booming Tet tourism season as visitor number jumps 37% yoy

The tourist city of Da Nang, central Vietnam, is expected to welcome 402,000 visitor arrivals during the week-long Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday starting last Thursday, an increase of 37 percent over the same period last year, local tourism authorities reported. Of the total number of arrivals, nearly 177,000 were international travelers, the municipal Department of Tourism said on Tuesday. Frequent self-guided travelers accounted for 60-70 percent of the total number of visitors to the city and they arrived mainly from February 11-14. Travelers to Da Nang mainly stayed at 4-, 5-star and equivalent hotels along the coast. Visitors at Ba Na Hills Sun World resort in central Vietnam’s Da Nang City during the 2024 Lunar New Year festival.
