April 05, 2024

Enterprises in Vietnam encountered 17.1 million offline cyberattack threats in 2023, the most in the Southeast Asian region, according to statistics announced on Thursday by cybersecurity firm Kaspersky. The firm stated that nearly 43 million offline cyberattack threats targeted Southeast Asian businesses last year. Vietnam was followed by Indonesia with 16.4 million, Thailand with 4.7 million, and Malaysia with 2.5 million. Firms in Singapore faced 500,000 offline cyberattack threats in 2023, the lowest in the region. Preventing offline cyberattack threats requires both a security solution capable of treating infected subjects and a combination of a firewall, anti-rootkit functionality and control over removable devices, Hia added.
