HCMC – FPT Corporation is striving to boost the country’s high-tech capabilities, focusing on semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), and automotive technology, said Truong Gia Binh, chairman of the company. FPT has strengthened research and development activities, prioritizing talent, infrastructure, and data. Binh said the recent success of an FPT virtual assistant product has demonstrated the quality of made-in-Vietnam technology solutions globally. The Vietnamese firm has introduced chip design into its educational facilities and partnered with the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) and U.S. organization TreSemi to establish the Vietnam Semiconductor Hub for Education (VSHE). The partnership has pledged to offer 300 scholarships to students pursuing a major in semiconductor studies at 20 top Vietnamese universities.
