Ho Chi Minh City eyes 100 percent EV adoption in outlying district

The transport authority of Ho Chi Minh City looks to achieve a 100 percent adoption and usage of electric vehicles (EV) in the outlying district of Can Gio and some areas in the city in a bid to cope with car emissions and improve the air quality. Tran Quang Lam, director of the municipal Department of Transport, put forward this plan at a regular press briefing on Thursday morning. Passengers on non-EVs will be transported to various parts in Can Gio via public transit EVs.
