Australia desires to further strengthen cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City, a significant component of the bilateral relationship between the two countries, Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong stated. Australia consistently recognizes Ho Chi Minh City as an important element of the Australia-Vietnam relationship and wishes to deepen multifaceted ties with the Vietnamese economic hub in areas of mutual interest, the diplomat said. Nen told Wong that her visit coincides with the city’s implementation of new policies and mechanisms to further attract foreign investment. As part of her stay in the city, the Australian minister participated in a panel with students from the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday afternoon.
