Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate Reunification Day with fireworks at 16 venues

Ho Chi Minh City will set off fireworks at 16 venues, mostly across the Saigon River, to mark the 49th anniversary of Reunification Day on April 30. In particular, the city will launch a high-altitude fireworks display at Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Duc City, according to a directive by Phan Van Mai, chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, released on Tuesday. These shows will last 15 minutes from 9:00 pm to 9:15 pm on April 30. Public workers in Vietnam will have five consecutive days off to enjoy the forthcoming Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day (May 1) holiday.
