Humanitarian Month 2023 launched on April 23

HÀ NỘI — The Việt Nam Red Cross Society (VNRC) will coordinate with the People's Committee of Cần Thơ City to launch Humanitarian Month 2023 at a ceremony in Cần Thơ City on April 23. This year’s Humanitarian Month will run from May 1 to May 31. “The purpose of Humanitarian Month 2023 activities is to widely strengthen humanitarian values ​​among the people, gradually change the awareness of humanitarian work, and promote compassionate behaviour in the community. It also aims to advocate for mechanisms and policies for Red Cross activities and strengthen the leadership of the Party and State management over humanitarian work. Humanitarian Month was initiated by the Vietnam Red Cross Society in 2018.
