Hundreds of people seek to donate blood to hemorrhaging pregnant woman on Vietnam’s Phu Quoc

At the time, the medical center was crowded as many people wanted to donate their blood to save the pregnant woman, D.Q.T., a Phu Quoc resident, said, adding that he wished the woman would recover quickly. The medical center admitted the 21-week pregnant woman, named H.T.M., a resident of the southernmost province of Ca Mau, who currently resides on Phu Quoc, at about 6:20 pm on Saturday, the medical center announced on Sunday morning. Doctors continued to transfuse blood into the woman and planned to transfer her to a higher-level hospital for further treatment, a doctor at the Phu Quoc Medical Center said.
