Suspect arrested 24 hours after Belarusian girl robbed in Nha Trang

Police in Nha Trang, the capital city of Khanh Hoa Province in south-central Vietnam, have announced the arrest of a man nearly 24 hours after he was suspected of robbing a Belarusian teenage girl of a cellphone on Monday. The suspect, 32-year-old Pham Ba Tien, has been detained and prosecuted on charges of robbery, the city’s police department said on Wednesday. When Maryna rose up to chase Tien, he threw a helmet at the girl, causing the victim to fall again. After nearly 24 hours of hunting, police officers arrested Tien by Tuesday noon and the man pleaded guilty to the robbery. He also took the stolen phone to a store to have the password unlocked and used it before his arrest.
