Veteran actor passes away, aged 86

HÀ NỘI — Trần Tiến, a veteran artist of Vietnamese theatre, passed away on January 22 at the age of 86. Tiến was born in Hà Nội in 1937. He started his acting career in 1954 and impressed audiences with a number of comedy roles on the stage. Three of his daughters with artist Lê Mai are also famous artists and actresses - Lê Vân, Lê Khanh, and Lê Vi. He also starred in many films such as Thằng Bờm (The Stooge), Chuyện làng Nhô (Nhô Village’s Story) and Những Người Săn Lùng Cái Đẹp (Beauty Hunters).
