The Ministry of Information and Communications is in the process of drafting a new decree on the management, provision, and use of Internet services, factoring in a regulation that only allows verified social media accounts to comment, write posts, and live-stream. Verified accounts must have the real names and phone numbers of the social network users. The ministry will learn from other nations' experience to manage cross-border platforms, mainly TikTok, and control online information to minimize toxic content.
