Vietnam to play int’l football friendly against Hong Kong next month

Vietnam will face Hong Kong in an international friendly next month in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualification champaigns, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced on its website on Friday. This marks the Vietnamese national football team’s first international match since the appointment of new head coach Philippe Troussier in February. In anticipation of the June 15 match, the Vietnamese national football team players are scheduled to regroup on June 7.
