Vietnamese air carriers seen recovering fully by end-2024

Vietnam’s domestic aviation market was already in full swing in 2023, while the international market is showing signs of recovery and growth. The CCAV said it is optimistic about a complete recovery in the Vietnamese aviation market by year-end. Domestic air travelers are expected to grow by over 3% to 41.5 million, and international passengers are projected to increase by 16% to 43 million. Infrastructure limitations also pose a challenge, as some domestic airports may struggle to accommodate the expected market recovery in 2024. Collaboration with international aviation authorities is also suggested to enhance supply capabilities and streamline operations at international airports.
