Police in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday pressed charges against a 38-year-old Vietnamese deliveryman for allegedly snatching an iPhone 13 from a Turkish female teacher in Go Vap District last month. Investigators of Go Vap District, where the phone theft took place, are also working to file charges against those involved in consuming stolen items. According to a police report, the phone theft occurred on August 29 on Thong Nhat Street, Ward 16, Go Vap. On August 30, police officers identified Truong as the suspected phone thief and took him to a police station for questioning. After snatching the iPhone 13 from the expat teacher, he sold it for VND2.8 million (US$115) on a social media platform, he confessed.
