Vietnamese heroines featured on luxury Swiss watch

High-end Swiss watch company Christophe Claret has introduced a design paying homage to the Trung Sisters, or Hai Ba Trung, two Vietnamese heroines from the first century. The design is a Westminster flying tourbillon minute repeater provided with four jacquemart automatons featuring Hai Ba Trung, according to the LinkedIn post. Each quarter has a different ringtone, which are the results of a collaboration between Christophe Claret and a virtuoso violinist. Many other luxury Swiss watch faces have been adorned with engravings and paintings depicting iconic Vietnamese cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as capturing the essence of typical Vietnamese scenes like floating markets and the breathtaking UNESCO-recognized Ha Long Bay. Born in 1962 in Switzerland, Christophe Claret is a skilled craftsman in the field of mechanical watchmaking.
