Vietnam’s Dung Quat refinery expansion to cost $1.3bn

The capacity of the oil refinery, operated by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical JSC, will increase to 171,000 barrels per day from the current 148,000 barrels after the expansion. The expansion project is expected to contribute to boosting the socio-economic development of the country, especially the central region. Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the first of its kind in Vietnam, currently supplies 35 percent of fuel products in the country.
