April 06, 2024

The Ministry of Home Affairs said on Friday that it endorsed the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs’ proposal, according to which public workers in Vietnam will be given five consecutive days off to celebrate the upcoming Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers’ Day (May 1). The five-day break is expected to boost consumption, promote local tourism and economic growth, according to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs. The home affairs ministry urged the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs to submit the proposal to the prime minister for consideration and approval. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs is now pooling inputs from 14 other ministries and agencies on the proposal.
