Vietnam’s Quang Tri presents $16,300, 10 metric tons of rice to Laotian households

Authorities in Quang Tri Province, north-central Vietnam last weekend presented VND400 million (US$16,363) and 10 metric tons of rice to 2,000 Laotian households along the border between the two countries. In particular, provincial border guards on Saturday last week gave five metric tons of rice and VND200 million ($8,161) to over 1,000 Laotian households in eight border villages, with each household receiving five kilograms of rice and VND200,000 ($8.2).
