VN-Index opens new week on a negative note

HÀ NỘI — The stock market was mixed yesterday, with the VN-Index extending its bearish trend due to persistent selling pressure. On the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), the VN-Index closed the trading day at 1,065.35 points, a decline of 4.36 points, or 0.41 per cent. The VN30-Index, tracking the 30 biggest stocks on HoSE, also finished lower at 1,077.41 points, down 1.47 points or 0.14 per cent. Foreign investors were net sellers on the market after net sold nearly VNĐ290 billion on two main exchanges. Of which, they net sold VNĐ305.22 billion on HoSE, while net buying VNĐ15.29 billion on HNX.
