Wet market fire guts 14 kiosks in southern Vietnam

A fire broke out at a wet market in Dong Thap Province, southern Vietnam on Saturday morning, completely destroying 14 kiosks, confirmed a local official. The fire occurred at around 6:00 am at Binh Thanh wet market, Phan Van Phung, vice-chairman of the People’s Committee of Thanh Binh District, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Saturday afternoon. Aside from the 14 kiosks entirely destroyed, two other ones were half burnt, with total damage estimated at VND2.4 billion (US$102,180), Phung said.
