Việt Nam reach AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup finals

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam beat Lebanon 3-0 in the 2024 AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup’s second qualifying round held in Phú Thọ on June 5 to earn a place in the finals. From the off, Việt Nam created many opportunities but goalkeeper Selena Malaeb performed excellently to prevent any early goals. Earlier Việt Nam beat Iran 3-2. Việt Nam will meet Australia on June 7 in their final match of the second qualifying round playing for top place in the group stage. Both Việt Nam and Australia have six points after two victories in Group A with both teams already qualifying for the finals.
