Shares start week on a positive note

HÀ NỘI — The stock market settled up on Monday, boosted by positive sentiment and inflows of foreign capital. The market’s benchmark VN-Index on the Hồ Chí Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) ended the day at 1,066.68 points, an increase of 0.61 per cent. Investors poured nearly VNĐ9.4 trillion (US$401 million) into the southern exchange, down 24 per cent over the previous session. Notably, Bank for Investment and Development of Việt Nam hit the daily limit gain of 7 per cent. On the Hà Nội Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index moved down.
