Việt Nam, US to thoroughly prepare for high-level visits in 2023

Two-way trade reached US$123 billion last year. The US became Việt Nam's first export market with turnover of over $100 billion while Việt Nam was the 8th largest trade partner of the US. Practical results have been seen in cooperation in national defence-security, education and training, science-technology, energy transition and climate change response. Cooperation in overcoming war consequences is a bright spot in the bilateral relationship, making important contributions to the process of reconciliation and trust building between the two countries, opening up new cooperation opportunities in other important areas. The two sides have been working together more and more effectively within multilateral frameworks and in addressing regional and global issues.
